Ventech awarded a 5-year contract from US Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)to sustain and document their mission critical system, Mechanization of Contract Administration Services (MOCAS)

As the prime, Ventech will provide assessment, code documentation and transformation support services for the Mechanization of Contract Administration Services (MOCAS) system. MOCAS is a legacy system co‐ owned by DCMA and Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS), providing post award contract administration. MOCAS currently processes over $220 billion per year in contract invoice payments, with a volume of over a million invoices. Ventech will also support the MOCAS system Shared Data Warehouse (SDW). SDW provides a single view of MOCAS contract data online. SDW receives real time, 24×7 contract transactions from the MOCAS system. SDW services over 500,000 data requests each month and supports numerous daily interfaces.

State of Ohio, Department of Commerce, State Fire Marshal Division awarded a multi-year AS 400 legacy modernization contract to Envisage Technologies in partnership with Ventech Solutions using Acadis® readiness suite for training and compliance. The solution will be used to track approximately 80,000 firefighters and emergency management/medical personnel and 1,200 emergency response agencies throughout the state.

Ventech Solutions will provide Systems Analysis, Custom development, data migration and system integration activities. Specific to systems integration Ventech is responsible for integrating Acadis® platform with several government systems like Dynamics AX ERP, CBOSS, AGO Collection system.

Public Utility Commission of Ohio (PUCO) has awarded a web development and data integration contract for developing consumer energy choice from market-based utility service suppliers to the state of Ohio. This solution also addresses the need to educate Ohio consumers of legislative changes affecting the electric and natural gas utility industry in Ohio, the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO, Commission) created the Office of Retail Competition (ORC) in June, 2012. The mission of the ORC is to improve awareness, trust and understanding of market-based utility service in Ohio.

The scope of the work includes developing various web based interactive tools with calculations capabilities, an interactive tool for the user to compare service offers and see the cost difference/values, a secured portal for service provider to manage their information. The portal is being architected using Microsoft MVC 4.0 architecture framework with SQL Server database.

Ventech Solutions is responsible for requirements analysis, design, development of the product developed using Service Oriented Architecture. This is an enterprise wide state of the art system being developed for State Fire Marshal’s Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulation (BUSTR). This system aids to effectively regulate the safe operation of underground storage tanks and to ensure appropriate investigation and cleanup of releases from underground storage tanks for the purpose of protecting human health and the environment for the residents of the state of Ohio.

This system is designed as a N-tier (physical) architecture with MVC along with Jquery as the presentation tier, WCF Services as the Middle and Data Access tier and finally the DB (SQL Server 2008 R2) server acts as the final tier. Also a disconnected windows application for field inspectors to synchronize their violation inspection information.
