Ventech was contracted in March 2010 to perform detailed analysis of a very large Web application consisting of over 770,000 lines of code. The application experienced severe performance problems. The system was to be deployed to over 25,000 concurrent users but experienced instability on the single processor test system at less than 30 users. The issues that were uncovered were that no significant load testing had been performed in over a year and a half of development, and that the Agile development effort continued to move forward delivering essentially untested new functionality.
